WHO ARE WE?

Our progressive, independent congregation serves the Greater Taunton, Massachusetts Jewish Community including the towns of Taunton, Raynham, Lakeville, Norton, Easton, Middleboro, Mansfield, Dighton, Rehoboth, Freetown, Bridgewater, and Berkley.

Come find your place among our “Family of Friends” ― 80 member families part of a proud Jewish heritage that is over 100 years old.

We welcome Jewish individuals, Jewish families, interfaith families, and others exploring Jewish life and practice. We’re friendly and open. Just ask!

Another great morning – parents and children learning together.

Our Centennial: It wasn’t called a “reunion” for nothing.

Join us as we strive to maximize opportunities for Jews in the Greater Taunton Area to participate in Jewish communal life.

Why not be a part of our work to live up to God’s call to “be a light to the nations.” Moving into the 21st century, you, too, could engage the centuries-old vast Jewish moral, spiritual and philosophical tradition, undergirded by the profound teachings of Torah (study), Avodah (worship), and Gemilut Hasadim (behaving righteously).

All ages enjoyed our annual Community Potluck Seder – members, guests, newcomers – all joined in. Not too long and totally satisfying.

Come find your place in a Family of Friends that enjoys being together for many reasons and on varied occasions.

Become part of a community providing meaningful worship services, strong religious education, community mitzvah projects and opportunities for fostering Jewish friendships and social life.

Almost time to eat.

We’ve changed as the world changed. Originating as an Orthodox congregation in the early 1900’s, with women sitting in the balcony, transitioning to being a part of the Conservative movement, and now an unaffiliated Jewish congregation addressing the current trends in Jewish family life. We welcome people from diverse back- grounds to participate in upholding a strong Jewish presence in the center of southeastern Massachusetts.

Some of the ladies of the shul!

Purim Pandemonium – our celebrations are joyous!
