Healing Service

We begin offering once a month at 11:00 AM in the Chapel (main library room) at The Jewish Community House.

Our first service is Thursday, September 13, 2012.  Check the Google Calendar for subsequent months.

Prayers for healing encompass healing of body, healing of spirit, and also include prayers for gathering strength and courage for life. For yourself or for others.

We will pray with words, with music and with silence.   You will not need to share why you have come to pray.

If you are in need of brief conversations of support, there will be time to meet with others or Rabbi Heath after the service.  Or, you may schedule a visit with her (your place or her office) at another time.

The National Center for Jewish Healing offers many fine resources, some of which we will use for ourselves. Please click here if you would like to visit their full site.

As a congregation, we know that we have work to do in terms of making our synagogue handicapped accessible.  While not fully accessible, The Jewish Community House does have a ramp and access, with some help, to restrooms, as well as doors wide enough to accommodate wheelchairs to the main floor rooms.
