Yoga Shalom is a worship service and a spiritual and physical journey, guided by a sequence of traditional Hebrew morning prayers. Although the weekday Shacharit (morning) service serves as the textual basis for Yoga Shalom, you can practice this worship service for body and soul at any time of day or on Shabbat.
In March 2015 a highlight to our own efforts Cantor Lisa Levine, creator and founder of Yoga Shalom (with Carol Krucoff)let two Yoga Shalom worship services – one hour each. We met in the synagogue vestry and experienced Yoga Shalom – adults and our older students and teens – to see if it might be something “for us”. Those attending said “yes” and we have scheduled three Yoga Shalom mornings for the 2015-2016 year.
You’ll find more information on the Shabbat-Saturday AM Services page under the Worship tab. Click here for more information on all our Shabbat morning offerings and Yoga Shalom specifically.
